FAQs - Wattage Capacity for C7, C9 and Heavy-Duty Commercial Grade Patio Light Strings
The recommended maximum run per circuit for these light strings is approximately 840 Watts (7 Amps). This means that for a continuous length of light string, the maximum wattage running through should be 840 Watts or less.
For example, if you use 100 sockets with 7W bulbs, your total wattage is 700 Watts.

Maximum Run Chart:
The recommended maximum run per circuit for these light strings is approximately 960 Watts (8 Amps). This means that for a continuous length of light string, the maximum wattage running through should be 960 Watts or less. For example: for the 106 foot light string, since there are 50 sockets, recommended wattage per socket would be 15 Watts per socket (960W ÷ 50 sockets). If you plan to use all 50 sockets, we recommend the 11S14 (11W), A15 (15W) or the G50 (15W) bulbs. If you plan to cut the string to customize it for your specific need, you can use the A19 (25W) bulbs up to 38 sockets (25W x 38 = 950W).
The recommended maximum run per circuit for the 330' light string is approximately 1,250 Watts (10 Amps). This means that for a continuous length of light string, the maximum wattage running through should be 1,250 Watts or less; if possible, reduce the max run to 1,100 Watts or below. For example: for a 100 foot length, since there are 50 sockets, recommended maximum wattage per socket would be 25 Watts per socket (1,250W ÷ 50 sockets). Please refer to the maximum run chart below:
