Sival, Inc. - Shipping Policies

When will my products ship?
  • Most orders received Monday thru Friday by 12:00pm PST will be processed & shipped on the same day.  Orders placed after this time may not ship until following business day.
  • Orders placed on a holiday, Saturday or Sunday will NOT be processed & shipped out until the next business day. 
  • Keep in mind that when counting the days for delivery, the count starts the following day.   

During peak holiday season (October - December), UPS Ground orders may take up to 48 hrs to ship.  During peak season, orders requesting expedited shipping (Next Day Air, 2 Day Air, 3 Day Select) method will be processed within 24 hrs.  If the product is backordered, you will be notified via e-mail and/or phone.

We reserve the right to hold shipments for any of these reasons:
  • Incomplete or inaccurate address
  • Invalid credit card information
  • Products are out of stock
  • Any other information missing which prevents us to ship your order correctly

Most ground shipments to California, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Washington and Nevada usually take 1 to 2 business days (not counting shipment date).  Shipments to other states take up to 3 or 4 additional business days. (Refer to map below.)

Expedited services do not include weekend deliveries!  Only UPS Next Day - Saturday Deliver will do this.  You must call to order any item you wish delivered on Saturday and additional costs are charged by UPS.  We do NOT offer Saturday delivery as an online shipping choice.  Normal Next Day, Second Day and Three Day is NOT delivered on Saturday or Sunday.  All expedited shipping methods are calculated based on business days, and does not include the day merchandise is picked up. 

Note: Expedited deliveries are quoted and guaranteed by UPS.  Sival, Inc. is not responsible for late shipments or conditions that are out of our control (ex. adverse weather conditions) and cannot refund shipping cost.
 
UPS transit times quoted are business days (exclude weekends and major holidays).  Shipping time starts the DAY AFTER shipment. 
 
Examples of 2 Day Air shipping (assuming order placed by 12pm PST):
 
Order on Saturday, Sunday or Monday before 12pm = delivery by end of the day Wednesday that same week
Order on Tuesday = delivery by end of the day Thursday of that same week
Order on Wednesday = delivery by end of the day Friday of that same week
Order on Thursday = delivery by end of the day following Monday
Order on Friday = delivery by end of the day following Tuesday
 
How do you calculate your shipping charges?

UPS uses the weight of the product, dimensions of the package and the distance the product is shipped to in order to automatically calculate the shipping charge for your order. To determine the cost of shipping, simply place the item in your cart and input your ZIP code. The shipping charge will appear on the shopping cart.  Rates are higher for expedited shipping services (air shipments).
 
Which shipping carriers do you use?
 
We ship our products via UPS or truck, whichever is least expensive. We like to pass the savings onto our customers. We do not ship via U.S. Postal Service because their tracking information is not as reliable and updated as accurately as the tracking information provided by UPS. Please note that UPS does not deliver to P.O. boxes or military addresses.
 
Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ONLY SHIP to Canada via UPS.  At this time we are unable to ship to other international addresses.
  
Canadian customers, please note that international shipping rates are higher than domestic rates. You will be responsible for paying any customs duties and brokerage fees due. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.  When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. To calculate a shipping charge to Canada, place your products in the shopping cart and enter your address. Shipping estimates will be displayed. You do not need to input credit card information to obtain shipping charges.
 
Can I track my package?

If you know your UPS tracking number, your package may be tracked at UPS.com. Your tracking number will be e-mailed to you at the time your order is shipped (usually by the end of the day).  The UPS sender e-mail address is auto-notify@ups.com and sender name is UPS Quantum View.
 
If you live in a high traffic area (ex. apartment complex), the UPS driver will determine if it is safe to leave your package.  If the driver feels it's unsafe to leave your package, the driver will leave a note on your door and attempt to deliver your package the following business day. 
 
If your business is closed at the time of delivery, the UPS driver will leave a note and attempt to deliver your package the following business day.
 
Please note that this is only an approximate estimate of UPS Ground delivery time (in business days).  The shipment date does not count.  Most, but not all, of our products are shipped from Santa Clara, CA.  Sival, Inc. reserves the right to ship items from our other locations subject to product availability.
